Hair: Meleny's hair is brown. It's long and straight and she always wears it down.
Eyes: As a human her eyes were a lovely blue color but now that she is a vampire they are golden. She tries to explain away the abnormal color to of her eyes to her enemies as a cateracts problem.
Skin: When she was human her skin was tan but now it's pale.
General Appearance [Two Paragrahs]:

Meleny's wardrobe consists largely of black dresses, cloaks, etc but her wardrobe is sometimes colorful too. Her clothes are also a bit victorian looking and fancy. She has a scar underneath her right eye and on her cheek from a previous battle. She has many scars like this because she's related to one of the bad guys, her father Alexander Aldridge is a vampire who married a human, her mother Christina but he had found power on the dark side and he killed her.

She wore her Gryffindor robes proudly and around her neck is a necklace her mother gave her. Now that she is an adult and out of Hogwarts she wears witch's robes but she still wears things that exampifly Gryffindor pride such as a scarf in the winter and so on. Her apartment walls are also covered with Gryffindor flags. She dosen't wear any makeup except for the occasional eyeshadow and blush to hide the scars on her face. She dosen't wear any other jewlery besides that necklace and has no earrings or any kind of piercings because she always thought it was tacky. She never does anything with her hair and rarely puts it up but still manages to stay well-groomed and cared for. Ever since her mother died and her father has proved himself as an unreliable parent she's learned how to take care of herself.

Meleny has long brown hair and as a human light blue eyes but since her transformation her eyes are now a gold color. She's 5'2 and weighs about 170 lbs. She's a casual dresser and wears very old-fashioned sometimes victorian muggle clothing most of which used to belong to her mother. The rest of the time she wears her Gryffindor robes proudly. She's very athletic and plays Quidditch sometimes even though she has an immense fear of bludgers even though she's been told she can hit one out of the stadium.

Then again her athletic prowess could come from occasional scruffs with her father. It could also come from the fact that the Aldridge women according to her mother are just naturally athletic. She has high cheekbones to complement her athletic build.

Meleny looks exactly like her mother did when she was a Hogwarts students and those who knew her mother in school would often mistake her as her own mother. It pains her to remind them that her mother is dead even though they probably read about it in the daily prophet.

Meleny's patronus is a dove because she is a pure soul who helps those in need. She will not leave anyone in pain or let someone die needlessly. One would think that with such a bleak past that she would not have a powerful memory to conjure a patronus but her happiest memory is when she first started at Hogwarts. It was the only place that was like a real home for her since her normal home was full of chaos and the only place where her mother could be close by and protected without her father to interfere or attack. Her mother was never in any danger at Hogwarts. The only time she was when she was out on a ministry assignment and ran into either her husband or some other death eater.

Mirror of Erised:

Her deepest desire is for her mother to be alive again and for her father to rot in azkaban or die. She normally does not wish pain on anyone but she wishes her father would eventually die painfully.

Personality

Meleny is a very sweet person and helpful. She's quite pleasant to be around once you get to know her. Other than her sweet side, she has a side of her that is quite serious, spanning from a recent event in her life.When she's in battle with someone, she's quite serious and will risk her life to protect humans which she happens to have a soft side for. Part of her serious side is that she's very overprotective of those she loves. She was overprotective of her mother after she married Alexander a few years or so after she was born. She was the only one who noticed the changes in him, his desire for power, etc. After her mother was killed, she vowed that if she ever fell in love it would be with the right guy.

Meleny is also quite tempermental. She'll flip out if something is going wrong or there's some kind of injustice going on she feels should be righted.

Meleny is emotional and sometimes isn't afraid to show she's scared, or in pain but when met with an enemy she'll try to decieve them and cover up her weaknesses which includes trying to hide the scar underneath her right eye which is the only one visible. The others are on her body elsewhere and can only be seen when she's either getting dressed or undressing. Usually she's in control of her emotions and knows when and when not to show them but when she's scared or under stress the chain binding her emotions snaps and she becomes a total wreck.

Meleny is considerate and helpful. She always knows the right thing to say in a bad situation and has always been thought of as a mother figure to the younger students. She protects them from danger. She's also intelligent. When she was a student at Hogwarts she'd help the students with their homework in subjects they were having trouble in.

Bad Traits [Atleast two sentances]:

Meleny is tempermental and shouldn't be crossed when she's in a bad mood. She can be a bit overprotective which usually gets on people's nerves if they think they're capable of keeping themselves out of danger.

Family History: [About a Paragraph]

Meleny's parents Alexander and Christina met at Hogwarts during the time of the marauders. Her mother was a HufflePuff and her father a Slytherin. Her father had been born a vampire but wasn't a cruel heartless bastard until after he joined Voldemort. He had fallen in love with Christina and vowed never to hurt her. But when Voldemort became powerful one of his death eaters sought him out and convinced him to join Voldemort. Her father was powerful and after he became a death eater, a force to be reckoned with. He broke his promise to Christina and tried to attack her one night. Her father could not control his blood lust and didn't even bother to. Anyone he came across either ended up dead, turned or unconscious. Meleny trained herself to drink copiously but was so disgusted with her father's ramage across Hogwarts back then (as recapped by her mother in later years when it was time for her to go to Hogwarts for the first time) that she just started to supress the hunger for a while. She does not attempt to drink again until she is near death. In the event that it becomes unmanagable she had always planned to distance herself from the students deep in the forbidden forest.

Personal History [Minimum 2 paragraphs]:

Meleny was born to Alexander and Christina Aldridge on September 24th. When she was born she had no idea how chaotic her life would be. Her father joined the dark side and he killed her mother during the battle of Hogwarts prompting her to dedicate her life to protecting others from the dark side and avenging her mother's death in the process. In this battle she was turned by her father. Her mother had been an auror and was killed in the battle of Hogwarts. She also came out with a lot more scars.

Meleny has been something of an outcast for most of her life because she had a human mother and a vampire father which made her weak in the eyes of her enemies. Meleny is actually strong and determined and dosen't kill unless forced to. Meleny has been known to have a soft side for humans and spends more time with them than she does with people of her own species.

When Meleny got her letter from Hogwarts on her 11th birthday. Her mother was ecstatic and took her to diagon alley to get her things but not until her father had a word with her about the right kind of wizard folk to mingle with. All her life she had been indoctrinated with pureblood superiority and to stay clear of muggle-borns and blood-traitors. Meleny ignored his lecture and left with her mother. As Meleny's hogwarts education progressed and Voldemort became more powerful, her father became suspicious when he found letters Meleny had been writing home to her mother discussing her life at Hogwarts. She had mentioned standing up for the underdog and intervening when a Slytherin called a muggle-born a mudblood and taking a course called muggle studies. It later dawned on her father that his own daughter was a blood traitor and in her fourth year during the triwizard tournament during the third task, he lured her away from the stands and took her into the forbidden forest where he beat her for selling out the purebloods and putting them to shame for being a muggle lover. That was where she got her first scar. She came out slightly bleeding and a scar underneath her right eye.

After she graduated from Hogwarts she thought everything was going to be ok after Voldemort was defeated and Harry, Ginny and Ron gave their lives to drive away most of the death eaters. Unfortunately, her father was the only death eater not driven away and hid out somewhere away from the ministry as he did after the attack in the forest during her fourth year made the daily prophet. Meleny can feel a new evil in the air. When she was eighteen she bought a flat near Hogwarts with her father's money and got a job at the ministry at Hogwarts. She convinced the minister to give her the assignment of staking out Hogwarts for any kind of danger. She could not bare the fact of Umbridge being in power again as she had been during her fifth year. While her mother was working at the ministry she resented the fact that she had to exchange pleasantries with that toad of a woman. It is well known that Umbridge cannot stand half breeds so Meleny has to be extra careful to hide her vampire status. No one knows she was turned except for her closest friends and co-workers at the ministry. She's also been wearing eyeshadow to hide her scar on her eye.

Role Playing Example: Meleny was taking one of her late night walks to take her mind off things. She had been walking for a while and was listening to the conversastion. She felt compelled to go with them into the forest not only to see if the colt was ok but to make sure Lea and Alix didn't hurt Teddy or take advantage of him. She was the head of Gryffindor after all and she didn't think it was fair that he had to spend detention with two vicious Slytherins. There was talk around the school that Rosalie was a Slytherin but she was so nice, it was hard to believe. She was the only former Slytherin she could stand to be around.

Her vampiric ears perked up when she heard four voices. She cringed at one of them. The voice that made her cringe belonged to the care of magical creatures professor Alix Kensington. She couldn't stand her. Her attitude and the way she acted towards Constantine made her want to rip her apart. She had never wanted to rip anyone apart before as much as she wanted to now.

The other voice didn't make her feel any better for it belonged to a Slytherin girl named Lea Montgomery. Why was it that almost all of the Slytherins were jerks and yet Constantine was so sweet and tolerable? She smiled at the other two voices. They belonged to another one of her co-workers Rosalie and her own student Teddy Lupin. She knew his father when he taught in her third year and worked in the order with him for a while until his tragic death. It was rare that Meleny met a tolerable werewolf. She knew Alix was one because she had the most experience with the creature and they hated each other. Also her scent always made her cringe. Although she wasn't a wolf now, she could smell both sides of her; the human and the wolf. She walked towards the gang and smiled at them. She was merely being polite for she wished to avoid confrontation with Alix. "Good evening, Rosalie. I heard about the colt. Would it be all right if I went with you to check him out?" she asked trying not to show how Alix's scent was infuriating her. It took all her self-control not to rip her apart right then and there. She was a calm, reasonable person and rarely started fights but Alix brought out her ugly side.

She knew it was stupid and immature for them to be fighting over a guy but she couldn't help it and their rivarly was much more than just Constantine. It was each other. They both wanted to rip the other apart. Vampires and Werewolves just didn't get along. It was a fact and she didn't understand it. Teddy's father was a werewolf and he was probably part wolf himself but she is able to get along with them both. What was it about their genetic makeup that put each other off?

The more she thought about it, it was probably a lot more than that. Was it because vampires usually tried to outshine werewolves in hunting? That wasn't Meleny though. She rarely hunted because she dosen't like hurting humans. She usually waited until she was near death to hunt or just drank copiously and than supressed the hunger for another few years. It had never been a problem before but sometimes she wondered how long she could keep it up before it DID become a problem. Not only would it jeopardize her work but it would put the students in danger unless she managed to distance herself from them in the event that it does become unmanageable. Then again, could they hate each other because Alix was a wolf and she was more of a human than a vampire?

Why You Think You'd Role Play as This Character Well: This section sounds like it's more for canons but I created Meleny and I think I know how she ticks. Besides, she's fun to play.
